Lord Blue 8v

Lorde blue 8v integrale
I've never seen a Lord Blue 8v, or a 16v for that matter, then 2 come along at once. Both JDM cars, and both cars now in the USA. Jason's Lord Blue 8v Delta is on the Delta Force pages, he mentioned the car shown here. This car has just sold on Ebay USA, here's the listing.

Here's the listing on Ebay...

A prime example of the the winningest rally car of all time with 46 WRC wins and 6 manufacturer championship under its belt has now come for sale.

This 1989 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 8V with 93,243 KM (58,000 miles) can be yours. Equipped with a 2.0L Turbocharged engine mated to a permanent 4-wheel drive  five speed manual transmission it is one of the first 9800 integrale’s made to confirm to group A homologation .

This particular example was imported from Japan and is currently registered in Connecticut and federally legal.

This Lancia is unique as this is one of only a handful of 88-91 integrales that were painted a factory dark blue color called “BLEU LORD”, also sometimes known as Lords Blue. Seen on other later model Delta’s they were made in extremely limited quantities  for 8 and 16v variants, and as of now only one other  88 Delta in the united states wears this exterior color.  The paint although an original color, has been resprayed on the passenger side rear door and front fender. As like many deltas, there are two small corrosion bubbles are starting to form on the tailgate along with over various paint blisters appropriate for its age. The driver side (outer) headlight’s inside finish is starting to flake. Oem Fog lights are missing and the passenger side turn signal socket needs to be replaced. The interior is in excellent condition with all original parts and no damaged pieces.  Like many others, the passenger side seat bolster has some wear on the left bolster.

There is no factory or aftermarket radio as it did not come with one from japan, and overseas units do not receive the same frequencies as the United States.

The driver side windows works but does have some difficulty going up at times. A/C line needs to be replace as it has a hole. All other electronics work.

There are no mechanical problems. Recent tune up including: plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor, battery, fuel filter, radiator, and intercooler hose. The brakes are in excellent shape with no vibrations and thus it stops flawlessly.

What a great little car! It's obviously an original blue factory paint job, and in good condition too. There are some rust spots, and a headlight is discoloured.

I found this Delta on Bring a Trailer, it was in Connecticut. BaT report some paint repairs have been done, but no major damage. It's a 1989 car with 58k miles. It was listed with starting bids at $19995, the listing ended on 23 Oct 2016, 'withdrawn from sale' shown as the reason for ending the ad.

Have a look at the original listing here.

I hope its new owner will keep it looking good.

So all those years ago, the side repeater was lowered on a Delta. This early model having a Lancia badge covering the hole.

It's rare to see a JDM Delta remain unmolested after its life in Japan, this car only seems to have an aftermarket exhaust fitted.

The car has a full complement of warning stickers fitted too.

A lovely engine bay shot, the 8 valve engine being a great little unit, strong, well balanced and reliable too. This Delta has plenty of life left!

This was a well photographed listing, the shots look professional.

This is simple and straight Delta, original and well preserved, that's rare in a car from Japan.

Post script... this Delta is listed by the US importers, Vistec-R, on their website at $29995.00. It still seems to be for sale, so no wonder it was withdrawn from Ebay with no bids at $19995. The higher price is about £24k, so it's an expensive car!
